22 March 1883 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Thursday. 22nd [March 1883]. Painted my fan in morning. After lunch an hour walk in bitter cold with Henry. The hounds met at Henstridge & came into the wood & we tried to follow them but they soon got away from us tho’ they did not “find” the weather being too cold—it was freezing & there were long icicles in the shade. Dr Wiblin went away. Maria & Richard with the twins Juley & Izzy came down from London to stay here– I played & sang in evening.
