25 March 1883 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Sunday. 25th March [1883]. Easter Sunday. At breakfast found an Easter egg on my plate containing a diamond ring as a present from Theo. Maria received a pearl locket & Bertie a bank note. They are always very kind in giving us presents at Easter & my ring is a hoop & very beautiful. I walked to church with Maria, Richard & Bertie. After lunch Henry, Maria, Richard & Izzy & I went out for a long walk over the fields in search of violets but we did not find many. It was not quite so cold a day.
