27 March 1883 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Tuesday. 27th March [1883]. Henry & I left Inwood by 11.30 train & returned to London getting there by 3. We had great difficulty in getting a cab at the station as there were so many people returning from their Easter holidays. After lunch I walked up to Langham House to see my mother & sat with her a while– Then to Mrs Rate & sat with her—walked homewards & called on Lady Ely but it was too late to see her—called also on Lady Cowley but cd not see her. Edward Ponsonby being in town alone came & dined with us.
