31 March 1883 — 3 Savile Row | |
Saturday. 31st March [1883]. We left London in the morning for Dowlais & got there abt 5 ocl to stay with the Clarks. I had not been there since I married. Found their son Godfrey at home but Miss Blanche away. There were Mr & Mrs Dicey also there rather dull people. Mr Clark has aged & is getting deaf—& Godfrey is getting very bearish & bad manners. Mrs Clark—quaint but kind. | |
