14 April 1883 — 3 Savile Row | |
Saturday. 14th April [1883]. Walked out in the morning with Temmy to do some shopping. After lunch Mrs Burr called for me in her carriage & took me to Boehm’s studio to see the bust of poor Francie Rate he has done which seemed to me very good. I went to Mrs Burr’s to tea & then she sent me in her carriage to the Rates. I fd both Mr & Mrs R. at home—sat some time with them, had more tea & then walked home. We dined with Mr & Mrs Spottiswood & met the Persian Ambr Col. Douglas Galton & his daughter & the Blumenthals. | |
