20 May 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 20th May [1883]. Went to church at 11. The Dean of Worcester preached. It was blowing hard– Took Mrs Eden home from church & then home. After lunch put up Florence flowers. Henry went out & returned for me & we then went to call on Rawdon Brown. Found him at home & more changed than ever. He kept on repeating the same things. Home at 5. Adini Windischgrätz & Idita came to tea. Dined at 7, went out in gondola—first to Lady Marian’s to arrange abt putting off our expedition to Burano planned for tomorrow—Lady Marian not being well eno’ to go. Then to the Marcellos where we spent the evening getting home 10.30.
