1 June 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 1st June [1883]. Idita & Miss Bronson came to the guitar lessons from 10 till 12. At 2.30 Mrs Eden came & accompanied us to Murano. Css Brandolin, M. & Mme d’Adda & 2 Brandolin children went also. We took the girl in our gondola. We went to the Vetreria first & from there to the Venezia & Murano—then on to the church to see the Bellini—thence to the cathedral & then home leaving Mrs Eden at her own house. It was 6 when we got in. Dined at 7 then went out for a little air in gondola & to the Brandolin’s. I played cribbage with Ninina while Henry & the d’Addas played écarté. Later the Mocenigos of St Stae, the Bentivoglios & Mme Nitta came in & we left them all there & went home early.
