6 June 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 6th June [1883]. Nice & cool after the storm. Idita came & sat to me for 2 hours for her bust. After lunch a visit from Princess Adini Windischgrätz who came to bid me adieu as she returns home to Austria tomorrow carrying off Mrs Bronson & Miss B. with her. She came with Mme Pilat. After 3 the Cairolis & Mme Castellani came here & we all went to Murano to show them the Vetreria & the Venezia & Murano works & the churches. Henry & I came back alone & were home abt 6.30. Dined at 7. Went out in gondola. Henry left me at the Britannia & I sat with Lady Bagot for an hour. He went to walk on the Piazza & called for me at 10 & we came home. Read.
