17 June 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 17th June [1883]. I played the harmonium at church & Mme Hurtado led the singing. A hot scirocco day & a storm threatened all day. Mr Malcolm came & settled about having our double windows made. I wrote a heap of letters. Just as we intended going out at 5 the storm came down. So it was half past when we went to Browns & he was at dinner. We came home. After dinner went out, Henry left me at the Britannia & he went on to walk in the Piazza. I sat with Lady Bagot till Henry fetched me & we went home.
