19 June 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 19th June [1883]. Had our guitar lesson. Idita & Miss Bronson came. Lady Gordon came at 12 & brought me her work to begin for her wh I did copying mine. Henry went out soon after lunch to some shops & to meet the De Bülows who were arriving to say with us. I remained at home. Went on with the Catalogue. Mme Lützow & Miss Seymour called. The latter leaves tomorrow. The Bulows arrived at 5 & had tea. They came from Bologna. When they had tea showed them their rooms– Lady & 2 Miss Bagots came. Then Mrs Eden, then Mme Hurtado & Idita. Dined at 7 & then went for a row & took a little turn on the canal– Home early. | |
