4 July 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 4th July [1883]. Packed & wrote letters. Ninina Brandolin came to see me. Lunch at 12.30. We went on our way to the Station to Biraghi the carvers to see Mr Clark’s staircase & then off by 2 o’cl train for Vienna. Mr Castellani was at the Station. Mr Malcolm went with us as far as Vittoria. Css Marcello met us at Mestre to wish us good bye. We had our dinner brought us in the coupé—& very comfortable beds & slept well. | |
