28 October 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 28th [October 1883]. Called at 8. Breakfast at 9. I went to the service at 11 & led the singing. Miss Bronson played the harmonium. Lunched at 1 & then out at 2.30. I went to the Litany & then joined Henry at the Piazzetta. The de Gex’s came to tea & we sat in the Belvidere. It was pleasant & quite hot. Dined at 7. Cribbage. | |
