Thursday. 15th [November 1883]. Still busy arranging the house. Henry took young Mr Hewitt to Murano to see the glass works. I went to see Ersilia Canevaro & also to Malcolm’s to consult him about finding another gondolier our 1st man having suddenly left us. Ersilia came to tea & so did the Buller girls & Lady E. Campbell. | |
