19 November 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 19th [November 1883]. Had a guitar lesson with Miss Bronson. Cortellazzo left having had to give up all hopes of persuading Giovanni to remain on with us. I worked in the afternoon with Giov: arranging a china cupboard. After dinner Henry, Mrs Burton & I went to the Canevaro’s & she sang to us. They leave for Florence tomorrow. | |
