26 November 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 26th November [1883]. Had a guitar lesson with Miss Bronson. Mrs Eden came with her brother & sister in law to see the pictures wh Henry showed them. After lunch Henry & Sr Orsi went out walking & Mr Burton went in the gondola. I remained at home & helped to arrange the room wh we are going to make into a card room next the boudoir. Had curtains put up in my studio. Tea upstairs & Ersilia came to tea. Dined at 7.30 & sat in the drawing room. Sr Orsi & I sang together to piano & guitar & I also played the harmonium till bedtime. | |
