29 December 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 29th December [1883]. Olga sat to me. Miss Holas came & I sent her to Mrs West & Mrs Lane to give lessons. Went out with Henry. Took walk on the Riva. Very fine day & crowds out walking. Mrs & Miss West came to tea & also Ersilia. We had tea in the drawing [room] & then Ersilia & I came upstairs & sat talking. I was very tired & low & glad to go to bed early. | |
