8 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 8th January [1884]. Practised guitar. Modelled statuette. Andriana Marcello came to see me. Henry went out with Sir Wm Gregory who arrived here from London at 5 this morning on his way to Ceylon. After lunch I went out with both, dropped them at Britannia to see the Bruces & went on to call on Mrs Jopling whom I found ill in bed. I sat some time with her & then went to sit with Carry Eden. I walked home & on the way I met Emily R & brought her home to tea with me– Modelled till dinner time & all the evening till bed time. | |
