19 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 19th January [1884]. Worked sewing machine—wrote, modelled. After lunch went out with Henry in gondola, took a walk & then went to the Monaco to call on Emily R who was in. I sat some time with her. Henry walked home & I went to see Carry Eden & sat with her & met Mme Bassecourt. Emily came to tea & stayed on to dinner with us & we made cigarettes for Malcolm all the evening. | |
