23 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 23rd January [1884]. There was a thick white wet fog & I did not go out. Breakfasted in bed & got up at 10. Modelled all day. Mr Constantine Phipps came to lunch & Henry took him out but he did not stay long as it was so cold out. Emily R. came to see me—also Ninina, Ersilia & Maria Cozzi & we had tea in studio. Malgarotto came again to work. We dined alone. Cribbage & écarté. | |
