25 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 25th [January 1884]. The sun appeared again & the mist cleared quite off. I modelled & was busy putting away things & arranging things for our departure. Directly after lunch Henry went off to Murano with Mrs & 2 Miss Wests. I went out & paid visits. I found Css Thun at home– I also found Mrs Brown and then I went to Mrs Eden’s for a long visit & went home at 5 to find Henry returned. Signor Memmo & Signor Edwin Benuzzi dined with us & after dinner they discussed with Henry the affairs of the Vetreria & then we had tea in the studio. | |
