4 April 1884 — 3 Savile Row | |
Friday. 4th April [1884]. I walked to Hamilton House to ask for news of the mother. It is still very uncertain when she will come. On my return I found Alice Du Cane who begged me to take her to order a bonnet in the Burlington Arcade for her so we went off & returned for luncheon– Afterwards I drove her out & we left some cards & paid some visits & returned home at 5. M. d’Antas came to tea & also my brother Arthur & Alice soon after returned home. Blanche & Edward came to dinner & brought Kate who has come up to see mama & is staying with them. Arthur also dined with us. | |
