31 May 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 31st [May 1884]. Still dull weather. I worked sewing machine &c. Henry took out Alice & Murrays in the morning. I did not go out all day. Henry & Mr Murray went to see Malcolm in the afternoon. Annie & Alice walked out alone. Abt 5 there came on a great thunderstorm wh we watched from the Belvidere & had tea in the boudoir. Mr Malcolm dined with us. The storm growled on all the evening. | |
