8 June 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 8th June [1884]. Alice & I went to church. I played the harmonium & had rather hard work especially as we had the Benedicite & no choir. We stayed communion. It was Trinity Sunday. A pouring wet day & a steady rain from morning till night. I drew while Alice read some of Stanley aloud– Played the harmonium after dinner until it cyphered & was obliged to stop. | |
