18 June 1884 — Turin | |
Wednesday. 18th June [1884]. Went off to see the Exhibition abt 12. Henry went first to see the English V. Consul but did not find him. We found that the Stabto Venezia Murano had its show close to the principal entrance & opposite to Salviati. We went to lunch at the Capelli Restaurant in the gardens & then went on to look at the Exhibition. Later we went & had coffee at another café. We returned to the Piazza Castello in the tramway which starts from the inside of the Exhibition gardens. Dined at 6 at table d’hôte. Sat in my bedroom till bed time sewing. | |
