15 July 1884 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Tuesday. 15th [July 1884]. Henry & I breakfasted in our room & I wrote & worked & only dressed by 12 o’cl. lunch. At 4 coffee & then we went out driving Henry & I & Alice with Mrs West in one carriage. Mr Malcolm & Miss Nightingale in another. When we had driven abt an hour Mrs West & Malcolm changed places & she & Miss N. drove down to Serravalle & we returned to La Punta. A good many rafts came down & we went to watch them. After dinner Mr Malcolm showed us a magiclantern he had—which he could not well manage & which was not very lovely. Tea at 11 & then bed. | |
