9 September 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 9th [September 1884]. I copied our picture of the Holy Family by Moretto. Mrs Eden came to see me in the morning & we settled to go out with them on Thursd: in the steam launch. The morning was lovely & in the afternoon it got dark & there was rain. Bad news of out break of cholera at Naples. Miss Holas called & promised to return tomorrow with work she has done for me. Went to buy colours & to Piazza with Henry & there was a thunderstorm while we were out. | |
