Monday. 22nd September [1884]. Lesson of Desideri in the morng. Henry hearing that Mr Colnaghi was expected here tonight arranged that he should come to us to stay & we dined at 8 to give him time to get here. He arrived accordingly. We did not go out till time to go to Css Valmarana’s. Henry played whist. Mr Colnaghi accompanied us there. Mrs Eden, the Pss of Montenegro, the Bassecourts &c were there & the usual tea & talk. | |
