26 September 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 26th September [1884]. Lesson of Desideri. Went out with Henry after lunch. Then we went to the Edens’ garden for a short time to beg some flowers for our dinner table. I had a visit from Mme Valmarana after 5 & she promised to come to tea in the evening. Mrs West & Miss Fan W., Mr & Mrs & 2 Miss Colnaghi, Mr Brown, Mr Malcolm dined with us. In the evening Mrs Brown, Css Valmarana, Mr dall’Aglio & the Mimauts came to tea & spent the eveng. | |
