1 October 1884 — Bologna | |
Wednesday. 1st October [1884]. Had tea at 8 & then went for a walk to St Dominico & looked at the pictures & back to the hotel. Lunched at 11 at the restaurant below stairs. We went off by the 12 train to Ravenna taking Luigi with us. We got there abt 4 & went to the hotel Spada d’Oro. Henry & I took a walk to the Duomo & round the town a little & then returned to the hotel. I read aloud (Ruskin) to Henry. Dined at 7. Cribbage. | |
