15 November 1884 — Paris
Saturday. 15th November [1884]. Dressmaker came at 9.30 to try on. Breakfast at 9—Richard & Maria Breakfasted with us. Richard went out with Dacre. Maria & I went at 11 to the Louvre that I might finish my copy. The others joined us there later & we returned to the hotel at 1 to luncheon. Maria & I spent the afternoon out walking. We went first to call on Mr Atlee whom we found at home & then we went to flané on the Boulevards till near 5 when she returned to the Hotel & I went off in a fiacre to call on Mme Weisweiller whose day it was. I found her & Mme Porges & Adèle Ettling & then came a General also to call whose name I did not catch. When I got back to the Hotel I found that the Hurtados had been to call & had gone away. Richard & Dacre dined out & Henry, Maria & I dined quietly at the hotel.
