16 November 1884 — Paris
Sunday. 16th November [1884]. Maria, Rd, Dacre & I went to church at the Rue d’Aguesseau & had a very good sermon. Lunched at Hotel & then Henry & I drove off to Boulevard Housseman to call on M. Dreyfus & to see his collection of models & sculpture of 15th Centy. From there we walked to call on Baron Mercier who was not well eno’ to see us. Then to call on the Villiers Avenue Gabriel & found them at home. I saw for the first time the Stamp bourse which is held at the corner of the Avenue on a Sunday. There were young gentlemen with books & collections of stamps wh they were selling & exchanging. We walked back to our hotel by soon after 4. B & Bss Weisweiller & Mme Ettling called on us. We all dined quietly at the hotel & went early to bed.
