23 November 1884 — 3 Savile Row | |
Sunday. 23rd November [1884]. Did not go to church. Sat at home & wrote. Arthur & his daughter Mildred came to lunch. Just as I & Henry were setting out to drive to see the Fred Layards Susie St Quentin came to the door & I excused myself to her & left her to walk with Arthur & Mildred. We found the Layards at home & had tea then coming home abt 6.30. Mr Ball came to see us & sat some time talking. He & Mrs Ball have just returned from a trip to America. | |
