24 November 1884 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 24th November [1884]. Packed up & put everything in order to send all our things to our new residence. Mama came to see me & at 1 o’cl she & Henry & I walked up to Queen Anne St. Mama went home to Langham House. I went to Blanche’s where we lunched. After lunch I went to No 1 & sat there until the van arrived with some of our things and some of the servants & I superintended the arrival. At 5 we had tea to which came several members of my family. Blanche came, also Mrs Hambro & Mrs Tom Bruce. She had been to Savile Row to see me & hearing we had moved came after us not knowing we had only moved today. We dined with Mama at Langham House to meet Ivor & Cornelia & returned home early.
