2 December 1884 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 2nd December [1884]. I painted all the morning & Mamma read some of Horace Walpole’s letters aloud to me. Luff came over in the afternoon & I went up to my room with him & had a long talk about buying the necessary plate for us at Queen Anne St. Tea at 5. Mr Ed Martin of Dowlais Works came down to dine & sleep. There was whist in the eveng. | |
