28 February 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Saturday. 28th [February 1885]. Maria went off to the wedding at 10.30. It appears the bride & bridegroom both traveled till 6 last night & then came up to town with Huntly. I cut out the cover for Blanche’s chair & then went round to see her & having a headache had to lie down till tea time & gave up going down to Roehampton with Maria. At 5 I went down to tea & Henry came in. Began to work in the frame transferring old embroidered flowers for a cushion. Charlie Eliot dined with us & he & Henry played billiards & I worked. | |
