Tuesday. 24th March. [1885]. I went out in the morning to see Blanche. After lunch I went to see Addie Tavistock—& then went to National Gallery to meet Henry & see the Blenheim Rafael & Vandyck, the latter the most striking picture & a wonderful addition to our gallery. We came home to 5 o’cl tea. Dined with Mme du Quaire & one, Mr Haggard, the Portuguese Minister, Mme d’Antas & Mrs Bloomfield Moore. | |
