19 April 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Sunday. 19th April [1885]. To my surprise Blanche walked in having arrived from Pr Eliot last night; she & I & little Onie went to Mr Haweis church. Monty came to lunch with us & afterwards he & I walked together to Hamilton house & found Ivor & Cornelia at home. We stayed there a long time & went up to the schoolroom with the girls & at 4 I came away leaving Monty still talking. I walked up to Pk Crescent to have tea with Maria. She moved in yesterday. Blanche also came to tea there & Henry who had been to the Zoo with Alice. Henry dropped me at home in the carriage w fetched him to go to pay a visit. I went to Mr Hambro who was out & then came home & rested. Arthur came to call & asked me to take in Mildred for a few days to see her brother Rhuvon (R.N.) as he was home on leave for a week before joining HMS Ruby & going away to the Coast of America for 3 years. Henry & I went to dine at Langham Hse & met Maria & Richard. Lovely weather.
