22 April 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Wednesday. 22nd April [1885]. Had a bad cold & did not get up till lunch time and did not go out at all. Monty came to see me & to ask us to dine with him tonight but I excused myself. Mr Hambro also came to call– Maria & Alice & Blanche came to tea. Henry & I dined alone. After dinner Henry corrected notes on Egypt & Turkey to be put in the Contemporary Review. | |
