27 April 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Monday. 27th [April 1885]. I went out in the morning to see Blanche. In the afternoon Henry & I drove out together. I took him to decide on the present for Malcolm a little traveling tea set & then I drove him to the House where he wanted to call on Sir Arthur Otway– We went on to Sir Wm Drake & I waited for him while Hy paid his visit & we did not get home till 6. I went round to 22 Mansfield St to see Susan Hambro. We dined at home alone. Greatest excitement at what seems an inevitable war with Russia. | |
