25 July 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 25th July [1885]. I sat to Mr Vigor before breakfast. Worked with Miss E. Holas all morning & again after luncheon. At 4.30 went out in gondola with the others & went into St Marks & walked round the Piazza & then came home. Countess Pisani, Mr Malcolm, Mr Brown dined with us & we sat talking all the eveng & did not go out. Splendid moonlit night. | |
