23 August 1885 — Grindelwald | |
Sunday. 23rd August [1885]. Annie & I went to the English Service at the Bear Hotel. It was very crowded. Lunched at 12. Went to tea with Mrs Henfrey in her sitting room at 4. Took a walk at 5 with the D & Dss & Signor Blaserna who has arrived. We were overtaken by heavy showers of rain & had to take refuge at the telegraph office & to come in early. Dined at 8 & went to the Sermonetas room in eveng. | |
