27 August 1885 — Geneva | |
Thursday. 27th [August 1885]. I woke with a headache & had to keep on the sofa all day; read & slept. Henry went into the town after lunch. The weather appeared somewhat unsettled & as I had not seen Geneva we settled not to leave tomorrow but to remain a day more. I was able to go down to dinner at 8. We dined apart. Cribbage in eveng. Thunderstorm & rain. | |
