15 September 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 15th [September 1885]. Henry took out Addie in the morning. I painted. At 2 we all went to the Hotel d’Europe to call on the Princesses & found they were pleased with their apartment & were delighted at being at Venice. They had been at Monza 2 days with the K. & Q of Italy, & were very pleased with their reception. Addie & I sketched at sunset & came home abt 6. Mr Malcolm & Mlle de Perpigna dined with us & they went out in the eveng leaving Malcolm at home with me. | |
