19 November 1885 — Rome | |
Thursday. 19th November [1885]. Henry & Sir John went out to pay Lord Hammond a visit. I remained in & wrote & painted. After lunch Henry & I took a walk in the garden between the showers—but it was too damp to stay out long. Dined at 7.30 & Sir John showed us portfolios of photos of drawings &c in the eveng. | |
