17 December 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Thursday. 17th December [1885]. I had a headache all day tho’ not a bad one. Aunt Mary Huntly came to see me in the morng. Fred Layard came to lunch & also Miss Phoebe Otway. At 3 I & Henry drove out. We left cards & went to Emperors gate to call on Lady Maxwell & found her & Sir Benson at home & so made their acquaintance. Hitherto we had only known Miss Maxwell & her brother. | |
