19 December 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Saturday. 19th December [1885]. Another black fog. Wrote letters. At 12 went out for a walk with Blanche shopping. Home to lunch. I did not go out again. Cases arrived from Venice with Henry’s portrait of Mr Vigor &c &c. Mr Mowbray came to tea, later Connie came & her boy Monty. The latter & I rushed off to get some flowers to decorate my dinner table. We had Lord Lytton, Mr John Murray, Miss Georgy Duff Gordon, Mme & Mlle de Hurtado, Blanche Ponsonby, Arthur Du Cane & Sir Fred Burton– | |
