9 May 1886 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Sunday. 9th [May 1886]. Mama called for me & we went to church together to hear Mr Haweis who began a series of sermons on the Life of St Paul. After church I went to see the Edgar Layards. Henry went out to luncheon. Mr Vigor & Edgar lunched with me. Connie & 3 boys came for Edgar & carried him off to the Zoos. I took hansom & went to call on Ida at St John’s Wood. Fred & the girls were out. I went afterwards to Maria’s & had tea there—met old Mr Murray, Annie & Miss Smith. Henry joined me there & we walked home accompanied by the Murrays & Edgar whom we met coming from the Zoos. Rested in my room till dinner—dined alone. Cribbage. | |
