18 May 1886 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Tuesday. 18th May [1886]. Busy morning arranging drawers & writing letters. Mrs Kennedy the wife of the secy at Consple came to luncheon. Henry went out in the carriage & sent it back for me. I stayed to see my godchild little Enid Kennedy when she came in the carriage to fetch her mama. She is a delicate looking child & tho’ nearly 2 can neither walk nor talk. I went to Woollands & there chanced to meet Blanche & she sent away her carriage & drove with me shopping. She & Edward & Mr Alfred Burton dined with us.
