21 May 1886 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Friday. 21st May [1886]. Mme Szarvady called & played the piano to me– I went out, shopped & called on Annie & went to see Blanche a moment. Fred Layard came to lunch & talk of our plan of going to Norway with him & Edgar. Lady Hammond & her daughter called to see me– Blanche lunched with us & Mrs Sydney Glyn called to take her for a drive & came up to see me. I went for a walk just to do a little shopping & back to tea at 5. Mrs Kay & Mrs Drummond came to tea & Aunt Mary Huntly also called– We dined at 7.30 with Sir Wm & Lady Gregory & afterwards accompanied them to the Colonial & Indian Exhibition which was very pretty all lighted up with electricity. We stayed there till ten when we went home to bed.
