17 June 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Thursday. 17th [June 1886]. Sowed mignonette & other seeds. Edgar & Fred went out fishing on Fjord in morning but got nothing. I painted in morng before dinner. After dinner Edgar & I went on Fjord with the Marquis. I got 2 trout & lost 2 with minnow. Edgar never had a bite all evening. One trout was ¼ lb—the other 3 lbs– Fred got a trout in the eveng wh we were glad of as we had no fish in larder. | |
